15 | Pick n' Mix No 1: A quick hit of creative flavour from Our team…

Introducing Pick ’n’ Mix – our monthly creative share session where we gather around the table to talk about what we’ve been making and what’s been inspiring us lately. Think recent projects, new music, standout artists, recent foodie finds, and random obsessions. Really anything that’s lit a creative spark.

Recently in our Pick n' Mix session, our in-house illustrator Chris shared some of the artists that have been inspiring him lately, from the intricate hand-cut paper works of Helen Musselwhite, to the dynamic motion studies of Levente Szabó, to the richly textured house portraits by Ioana Pioaru.

Our in-house illustrator, Chris.

OurCreative. are in a unique position as we have the lovely Chris working in-house. His work spans graphic, abstract, and hand-painted styles, depending on what a project demands. That ability to flex, interpret, and create with intention is what keeps our work human at the core. Craft still matters. Skill still matters. And in a time when the line between artificial and authentic can feel increasingly blurred, we believe human creativity deserves to be championed louder than ever.

Is it AI? No - it's just the magic of human craft.

It sparked a conversation we’ve been having more and more about the importance of human craft in an AI-saturated world. When the authenticity of so much visual work online is questioned, illustrators are going a step further, filming their creative process just to prove it’s real. Talent, skill, and patience have become things we have to verify and prove.
